A brief listing of strange encounters in the Farad port-city of Tarun, crossroads between East and West in Talislanta. Not warranties, guaranties or assurances – express or otherwise – are implied in the use of this listing, which is strictly for informational and not practical use.

WEIRD ENCOUNTERS

A patrol of Danuvian Blood-Dancers (mercs employed by the Farad as guards) shaking down any rogueish-looking characters.
A Black Savant selling bronze urns of sand, wind, sea, rock and pyro-demons in exchange for silver and magic items.
An Aeridian Botanomancer purchasing cactii and needles. Looking for large quantities of high-grade construction glass or stone.
The Hallowed Egg – Yentil the Witchman selling plagues, collections of infections and flus. There’s a Farad Spell-Warden stationed permanently around his tent to make sure nothing unpleasant gets out to contaminate the whole city.
A Quan Imperial Ascended Volute purchasing vast amounts of silver and onyx for a ritual. Which doesn’t actually work, since it was sold to her by a Zandir Charlatan named Phokus.
Jasperatil the Floating Cymrillian sells Seven Transcendent Spells of Erudition gleaned from the Gnorls. His stall floats 100′ above the market and is tethered to the ground by an adamant chain. You have to ascend using spells to be worthy of buying from him; all others get electrocuted if they try to climb the chain.
A blind Archon named Ulthan selling his blood as healing ungent, demands penance as price.
Moorg-Wan Tribe selling slimes, jellies, unguents, chrisms and cooking/healing muds.
Thrall Xim selling drawings of anatomical weak points of various monsters. The sketches are cartoonish but the information is real and valuable.
Za Bandits selling Torquaran torture and binding devices. They are willing to barter with anyone who can show them how to use the complex devices.
Ispasian Mercantilist Tingil buying exotic body parts for a Rajan intermediary. He’s in need of Aamanian skins and Sindaran brains at the moment.
Troupe of Thiasian contortionists popping their joints for silvers scales.
Farad Inspectator with Floating Erx checking quality of magic items + restraining rogue wizards. The Erx is trained with Thaecian Orb stimulants and obeys crude orders. It has a particular fondness for Cymrillian magicians.
Phantasian Dream Merchant Logistus selling dream essences and levitational parts – Stellarian Mekanistics Cooperative, Cabal Magicus, Incorp. 320 Before Disaster.
Fraal Escape Theatricals – Kasmir selling trap secrets to escape Farad dungeons. Remarkably useful and even more remarkable that he hasn’t been shut down. Might there be a secret reason for that?
Hazbal Guard Supply – Flims the Ocular Zandir mercenary leader of Ahazu and Gao-Din band.
Mandalan buying magical scrolls and selling poems, magic inks and orb-recorded songs.
Roulephe’s Magnolian Menagerie: Sarista selling pets, colorful birds, creature reagents.
Vajra Priest of Earth Mother covertly buying weapons for an uprising. Pretends to buy magic potions and minor charms.
Parthenian automatons selling “enhancement nodules” to bodies…sorcerous hybridization. Might give even a Farad pause for thought before buying.
